Enjoying Internet Librarian 2006 in Monterey.

It’s Monday, October 23rd and the first full day of Internet Librarian has come to a close.  I’ve already had two information-packed days prior to today’s general conference, and I’m close to info overload.  I left my “comfort zone” when I went to the session on Second Life Library 2.0.  The thought of Avatar Librarians fielding reference questions in a virtual world was nothing I had ever thought about.  Each year, I never fail to walk away from Monterey without mind-expanding concepts.  It’s consoling to know that I’m still young enough to learn about new stuff and not reject it automatically.

Entry filed under: conferences.
