Our Library web page with the new Overdrive Icon

Digipalooza is over and now comes the hard part – translating my pent-up enthusiasm into action.  My first act back at the Library was to contact Shannon and have her send me the Overdrive marketing materials.  There are now icons on our home page; Teen Zone, Senior Connection, and E-Book pages.  This is at least a start in the right direction.  I am also working with our Systems Librarian to have a tab added on our IPAC page that will go directly to the Michigan Digital Libraries Consortium Page.  Next step is to get pricing from Overdrive for a download station.  We are setting up the budget for next year and this is an ideal time to propose this item.  My greatest accomplishment so far is registering 24 staff members for two e-training classes each.  These will take place in September.  I personally registered for four of them.  Now if I can only get that eighteen- wheeler digital bookmobile scheduled to pull into our parking lot.  THAT should make an impact!
